Get Natural Skincare during Thanksgiving:

Get Natural Skincare during Thanksgiving:

Happy Thanksgiving, guys! It’s the day before Thanksgiving, and I know we all are traveling to get to our respective destinations. Whether you are visiting or not, we all want to look best, especially if you are going to meet your boyfriend or fiancé family the first time.

We have a full Natural Skincare regimen planned out for thanksgiving holiday. But before we do that, we want to share why you shouldn’t carry or use 100s of conventional products. To take a closer look at “why” let’s use the below analogy.

Take a minute to think about your skin as if it were your stomach. Imagine having all sorts of processed foods containing stabilizers, artificial sweeteners, and filler ingredients in your soup.

In this case, you are not getting enough nutrients from your diet; on the contrary, it’s harmful to your body. This is the same thing, happens when you apply conventional beauty products to your skin.

We only do overdose of food on occasion like Thanksgiving, while we are using these harmful products all the time without any break. After Thanksgiving, we do a detox to give a break to our digestive system.

Why not during Thanksgiving we provide a tear to our skin & provide excellent natural detox to our skin. We want to develop this skincare tips & tricks guide so that you only have to use minimal ingredients.

Get Natural Skincare during Thanksgiving:

Cleanser: Non-Foaming Cleansers

Whether you’re searching for the best face wash for oily skin, dry skin, combination skin, or acne- or redness-prone skin, the following information will help you understand the differences between cleansers, so you’ll know which type is best for you.

There are many types of cleaners out there in the market: Gel, foaming, non-foaming, powdered, oil-based, and so on!

When it comes to natural skincare and cleansing, we promote a two-step cleansing method.

  • 1) Oil Cleaning by carrying an unrefined virgin small container of Coconut oil.

  • 2) Powdered Non-Foaming Cleaning by adding oats + rose powder in 1:1 proportion.

Coconut oil acts as a great makeup remover, while non-foaming cleansing will give me closure when it comes to cleansing.

Exfoliate: Get kitchen or sugar from your kitchen! Brown Sugar is the best!

For your thanksgiving travel, we want you to use the same product multiple. Grab kitchen sugar or brown sugar from the pantry. We genuinely prefer that brown sugar is the best functional ingredient when it comes to exfoliating using natural products.

Brown sugar contains glycolic acid that fights bacteria. Glycolic acid is an alpha-hydroxyl acid(AHA), which is vital in keeping your skin vivacious and healthy. Brown sugar gives you younger and fresher looking skin by breaking down glue-bonded skin cells, which supports cell turnover.

(Check out our AHA & BHA guide here). Use some coconut oil that you used it for oil cleansing.

These two ingredients can be perfect for facial polish or exfoliator. Add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and 1 teaspoon of brown sugar. Gently exfoliate your face at least once in 4 days. You will see the difference in your skin within 15 days for sure.

Moisturizer with plant oil

Plant oils aren’t miracles in a natural skincare regimen, but the right plant oil can make a remarkable difference, especially windy and cold days. These gems are for anyone whose skin could use a boost of nourishing protection, especially when seasonal or drier climates disturb your skin.

Our skin doesn’t produce plant fatty acids, while plant oils contain so many fatty acids. The best diet for your skin, from the Outside In. When it comes to being healthy, we are what we eat! The same is true for the skin.

If your host carries olive oil or avocado oil. Grab some in your guest bathroom because they are best for facial & body skin as well.

You can also bring a small bottle of almond oil if you like light-to-medium weight oil. However, many people think that applying plant oil on your face can cause clog pores or greasy feeling. So, here we want to share little wisdom about Carrier/Plant Oil.

Oils have been used in skincare for years because they are potent moisturizers. Our skin produces its oil known as sebum, which keeps the skin supple and moist.

Carrier oils, otherwise known as fixed oils, base oils, or vegetable oils, get their name from their ability to ‘carry’ essential oils for massage. When you apply carrier oil to the skin, it penetrates only the outermost 2-3 layers of the stratum corneum.

The oil creates an occlusive layer on the outside of the skin and traps water beneath it. This makes your skin temporary softer and smoother. Many plant-derived oils contain lots of anti-aging compounds such as flavonoids or tocopherols, which can provide additional benefits to the skin.

We love essential almond oil as a starter oil because almond oil is one of the most versatile carrier oils available.

Face Mask: Sheet mask with Rose Water

With travel, lots of food & fluid, our skin can then become more vulnerable to dehydration and sensitive breakouts. At times like this, a sheet mask is a way to go. A sheet mask is a perfect addition to your natural skincare routine.

They are a quick source of quenching relief, soothing and best of all, it’s straightforward to make. To make a sheet mask, carry some cotton sheets with you.

Soak cotton sheets into rose water. After 4-5 minutes, drench access rose water and apply a few layers on your face right before you go for sleep. Remove it after 10 min.

Rosewater is a well-known ingredient in maintaining the skin’s pH balance and control excess oil. Rosewater has anti-inflammatory and skin-brightening properties.

This sheet mask helps you remove impurities from pores. This one-ingredient facial sheet mask will be your star mask during holidays.

Face Toners: Rosewater & Essential Oil

Using rose water as toner is better than using chemical-based toners, which might dry out the skin. Many times conventional facial toner contains alcohol. Alcohol causes dryness and irritation to your skin.

Rosewater toner can be your hero for this holiday. It is effortless to make quick and easy-to-go facial toner, you can add a bit of essential oil of your choice. By adding essential oil in your toner, you are providing more aromatic and therapeutic quality to your toner.

Whenever you add toner, make sure to shake it well. The shaking process will help oil particles to disperse in water temporarily.

Feel free to customize this recipe with any essential oil you like. We love chamomile for soothing, tea tree oil for acne, and lavender for relaxing – but why not make your combinations and mix them all.

In summary,

You need rose water, cotton pads, essential oil, oats +rose powder mixture, coconut oil & plant oil in your skincare bag while you travel!

Getting into a natural skincare routine is tough, but adding the above products in one by one basis is the smarter way to approach any change.
